Natick: “Comics Unite” to benefit food banks

Local comics will come together an evening to raise awareness and funds for the United Way of Tri-County's Food Security Initiative. Native New Englanders, including Lenny Clarke, Tom Cotter, Jackie Flynn, and Tony V, will participate in “Comics Unite,” July 17 at the Center for Arts in Natick, 14 Summer St., at 6:45 p.m. As native New Englanders, they are committed to helping the areas where they started their careers. The proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Tri-County's three direct food service programs — the Pearl Street Cupboard, the Marlborough Cupboard and Clinton Community Cupboard & Café serving the greater Clinton area. General admission tickets are $35. VIP tickets are available at $75 and include a pre-reception with the comics. Tickets are available at www.uwotc.org.
