Northborough: Annual Leo M. Murray Jr. Golf Classic

Northborough – The Shrewsbury High School Athletic Boosters will be sponsoring the Annual Leo M. Murray Jr. Golf Classic Friday, June 27 at the Juniper Hill Golf Course in Northborough. Leo Murray coached the Shrewsbury High School Colonial's golf team for 14 years, helping? lead the team to numerous league and district championships, as well as the D1 State Championship in 2009.

Coach Murray was an active member of the Shrewsbury Athletic Boosters Committee and served as chairman of the annual golf tournament. This tournament was renamed to the Annual Leo M. Murray Jr. Golf Classic in 2012 to honor the impact and contributions Leo made to the Shrewsbury High School community.

This year's tournament will be held at Juniper Hill Golf Course, 202 Brigham St., with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $135, and includes greens fees, golf cart, BBQ dinner, contests, prizes, raffle items, and more. All proceeds raised from this event will be used to help support the athletic teams at Shrewsbury High School.
