Northborough: Free summer concert series returns to Northborough

Northborough – The?Northborough Community Affairs Committee announced the return of?its free Summer Concert Series for 2014.?In addition to support from the Northborough Cultural Council, concerts are sponsored by Marlborough Savings Bank, Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics and Lexus of Northborough. All?concerts will be held Thursdays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Route 135) from?6-8 p.m.

July 10 – Radio Waves
Rain date: Sunday, July 13, 5 – 7 pm

Radio Waves is the ultimate party band, playing songs from retro to Top 40. Northborough House will be selling pizza and sandwiches?and the Face Fairy will be available for face painting.

July 24 – Beatles for Sale
Rain date: Sunday, July 27, 5 – 7 pm

Beatles for Sale is an?award-winning, New England-based Beatles tribute band.?The?Knights of Columbus (St. Augustine Council) will hold a?cookout?and?Fran Flynn Magician Extraordinaire will provide strolling?entertainment.

August 7 – The Hub
Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 10, 5 – 7 pm
The Hub is an eight-piece band that performs throughout England playing current pop music.? Northborough House will be selling pizza and sandwiches, and?Fran Flynn Magician Extraordinaire will provide strolling entertainment.

August 21 – 3rd Man Factor
Rain date: Sunday,?Aug. 24,?5 – 7 pm

3MF takes the musical styles of artists from many different?genres, including the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, and?Dave Matthews Band and mashes them into one intensely jammin’ sound. The Knights of Columbus (St. Augustine Council) will hold a?cookout?and?Wes Abusamra will be available for airbrush tattooing.
