Did you ever wonder what kind of music Mark Twain and his contemporaries might have listened to? Wonder no more! April 14, at 2 p.m., there will be a special concert at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., featuring Tom Casey & Company, modern-day minstrels performing “Songs of the Mississippi” in tribute to Mark Twain. The family-friendly presentation encompasses a broad range of musical styles, including blues, R&B, Zydeco, country, folk, Broadway and gospel. Clapping, dancing, singing, whooping and heehawing are strongly encouraged! Free and open to everyone of any age. No registration is required.
