Shrewsbury: “Charlotte's Web” play and library event in Shrewsbury

November 8, 2013 - November 9, 2013

| $10

Shrewsbury – On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, Shrewsbury High School will bring to life on stage one of E.B. White's most beloved children's books, “Charlotte's Web.” Charlotte's Web is a timeless tale of friendship and loyalty that is suitable for all audiences.

The show's young cast members have also paired up with the Shrewsbury Public Library this year to help promote reading. The library will be hosting a special “Charlotte's Web” day Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at noon. There will be an ongoing craft, as well as a visit from E.B. White's niece, Lindsay Morand, who will speak about her great-uncle and his life. In addition, Fern and her barnyard friends will be there to greet everyone and there will be a chance to win free tickets to a performance of “Charlotte's Web.”

Tickets for the play can be ordered via email at musictickets@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us or by calling the ticket line at 508-841-8300, ext.1088. Show times are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, at 7 p.m.; matinee Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 students and senior citizens; and $5 for all tickets to the matinee show.
