Shrewsbury: Easter Seals benefit concert celebrates 70th anniversary

Shrewsbury – Tickets are on sale for a benefit concert to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Easter Seals Massachusetts, which provides services to children and adults with disabilities.

The concert will be held Saturday, March 29 at SAC Park, 438 Lake St., Shrewsbury. Doors open at 6 p.m. Roy Michaels, former lead singer for the Brooklyn Bridge, will be headlining the event, which also will feature the local group The Road Less Traveled, and special presentations by Caitlyn Cronin and Stephanie Polito.

Shrewsbury resident Susan Mitchell and a group of her fellow Easter Seals supporters are organizing the event. An active Easter Seals volunteer for more than 30 years, Mitchell has been involved in a wide range of fundraisers, from softball tournaments to dances.? Her annual evenings of music and comedy in Shrewsbury raise money for Easter Seals Walk With Me events.
