Shrewsbury: Electronic Recycling Day

Shrewsbury – All towns are welcome to bring electronics for recycling to Saint Nicholas Church, Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at 34 Gold St. This event will be the last opportunity in the area this year to recycle TVs and other electronics, including monitors, computers, computer games, stereo equipment, copy and fax machines, printers, TVs and any item that has a plug.

Any appliances, such as washers, dryers, stoves, and refrigerators, as well as lawn mowers, snow blowers with the gas removed, exercise equipment, and grills will also be accepted.

The recycle event will have low fees of $5 for each computer; $10 any monitor or small TV less than 19″; $15 each TV between 19″ and 26″; $20 each TV over 26″ wide; and wood console and projection TVs $25 each. Appliances are $10 each. Cell phones and car and truck batteries are free.
