Shrewsbury: Hansel and Gretel performance

In the mood for some light opera in English for you and the kids? Join Mass Theatrica and Southgate at Shrewsbury, 30 Julio Dr., for a staged version of Engelbert Humperdinck’s tuneful take on Hansel and Gretel, based on the fairy tale by The Brothers Grimm! Performances take place Saturday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m., in Southgate’s Flanagan Theater. Admission is $15. Refreshments will be served.
