Shrewsbury: Lenten Choir Festival at Mount Olivet

There is no admission fee, but small donations to defray costs will be welcomed.

Feb. 24, at 4 p.m., Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 34 Prospect St. in Shrewsbury, will host a Lenten Choir Festival, including eight choirs from the area, led by Director of Music Dennis Deyo.? Each choir will sing their own anthems, followed by four anthems sung by the combined Festival Choir. The program will also include congregational hymns and choral responses. Churches represented are Bethel Lutheran/Auburn, Concordia Lutheran/Worcester, Mount Olivet Lutheran/Shrewsbury, Oakdale United Methodist/West Boylston, St. Mary of the Hills/Boylston, Trinity Episcopal/Shrewsbury, Wellspring United Methodist/Shrewsbury, and Zion Lutheran/Worcester. The program is expected to last 1 hour and 15 minutes, and refreshments will be served following the program. There is no admission fee, but small donations to defray costs will be welcomed.
