On Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., there will be an introductory class on French Canadian genealogy. The workshop leader is George C. The class will include basic sources, peculiarities, tips and shortcuts to help participants get started uncovering their north-of-the-border family history. Both Quebec and Acadian ancestry sources will be discussed. There will be helpful handouts, ample time for questions, and light refreshments.

Brown has been researching his own family history for about two decades.? He started a Genealogy Club at the Library several years ago; the club meets regularly at the library on the fourth Monday of every month, and is open to all interested in the field.
