Shrewsbury: Meditation for Stress Living discussion

Jan. 6, Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., will host Dr. Alan Hughes from 2 to 4 p.m. for a discussion on Meditation for Stress Living. Snow date is Jan. 13. The scientific community has recently been exploring the use of meditation as a healing agent. Join Dr. Hughes as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium. He will also present a simple, yet powerful meditation technique that can enrich one's life personally. He focuses on the reasons for meditating and how it relates to everyday life, the theory of meditation, and the many benefits meditation brings. This adult program is free and open to all those interested.
