Shrewsbury: Menorah Lighting Chanukah Celebration

Chabad of Westborough will sponsor its Annual Public Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration in Shrewsbury Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., at the Town Common, Route 140 & Main Street, on the first night of Chanukah, and Dec. 9, at 12:15 p.m., in Westborough Center at the Rotary. Delicious holiday refreshments will be available, including Chanukah gelt (chocolate coins), doughnuts, and hot cocoa. Dreidels will also be given out. Town Selectmen and other dignitaries will participate in the festivities.  Admission is free and open to all members of the community. Both locations will proudly display a nine-foot menorah throughout the Chanukah holiday, which begins at sundown Dec. 8 through Dec. 16.
