Shrewsbury: Michael Tougias to speak at Library

Popular author Michael Tougias will be speaking at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. The topic will be his latest book, “A Storm Too Soon: A True Story of Survival and a Remarkable Rescue.” Originally scheduled for last March, this event was postponed because of a major snow storm.

The book tells the calamitous story of a 2007 daring U.S. Coast Guard rescue of three survivors on a raft some 250 miles out to sea in the Gulf Stream. The author will have copies of his book available for sale.

The event is funded by the Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library, and is open to all interested.? Please register by calling 508-841-8531.
