Shrewsbury: New pastel painting class begins

Sept. 19, starting at 7 p.m., Greg Maichack presents a new pastel painting class, “Que Sera, Seurat! How To Pastel Paint Optically With Color,”  at Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St. This workshop fuses the science of color with the poetry of pastel.  Participants will learn to apply the technique of Pointillism, as practiced by Seurat and Signac. The class is limited to 20 adults and pre-registration is required. Call 508-842-0081 ext. 3 to register. (There is a waiting list, if registration is full.) Funded in part through a grant from the Shrewsbury Cultural Council; participants are asked to contribute $5 to cover supplies.
