Shrewsbury: “Painting the Town” artist reception and exhibit

Shrewsbury Crossings, 311 Main St., will open a new art exhibit, “Painting the Town,” featuring the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury, Sept. 27, with an artist reception from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to meet the talented artists from the Guild, see their latest works and discuss the various techniques they use in the creative process! This exhibit is the Guild's annual juried show, and will be judged by Bruce Wood and given awards of first place, second place, and third place with an honorable mention. The event is part of the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival, which takes place Sept. 27 – 29. Paintings, pottery, photography and 3D work will be on display and offered for sale. The exhibit will run through Dec. 1. The gallery at Shrewsbury Crossings will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for free public viewing.
