The Shrewsbury Historical Society will present “Dark Tide: The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919,” by author Stephen Puleo, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St. Dark Tide tells the compelling story of this man-made disaster. This critically acclaimed Boston-area bestseller was the subject of a program on the History Channel. Several communities have voted to read Dark Tide as part of town-wide reading programs. Parking will also available at the Shrewsbury Historical Society on Church Road. Free and open to the public, with refreshments served. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
