Shrewsbury: Read to a Tree Program

Children of all ages are welcome to come to Dean Park in Shrewsbury on Thursdays at 2 p.m. to read to a tree! Bring your own book or the library will provide some to borrow. Look for the decorated tree near the south pavilion, bring a blanket to sit on. After some quiet reading time, each week a special guest will read a book to the children. The program will conclude with a small craft and some coloring time in the pavilion. Crafts are limited to the 1st 25 children. The program starts July 14 and runs on Thursday through Aug. 25, from 2-2:35 p.m., at South Pavilion. This program is sponsored by Parks & Recreation department and the Shrewsbury Public Library.
