Shrewsbury: ‘Surfin’ Summer’ performances at Oak Middle School« Back to Events
Nov. 22 & 23, at 7 p.m. each night, Oak Middle School students will take us back to 1963 with “Surfin’ Summer.”
The teens of West Point Beach California have just graduated from high school and their future possibilities are endless. Sandy has dreams of getting a girl singing group together with her two friends Zoey and Joanie. Vinny will be in charge of Ziggy’s place for the summer while his Aunt is away and Yup just wants to hang on the beach for the rest of his life.
All the kids are thrown for a loop when they discover that the next big Gina and Johnny movie “Surfin’ Summer” is being filmed on their beach and they will all be extras in the movie. Much to their surprise, the teens find out the stars they all idolize really are not who they thought they were in real life. The teens are in for one crazy summer! We hope to see you at the beach.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors, and will be sold at the door. Oak Middle School is located at 45 Oak St., Shrewsbury.
