November 1, 2013

| Free

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Woman's Club will welcome author/illustrator Ralph Masiello as the speaker for its Friday, Nov. 1, meeting starting at 12:15 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 19 Church Road. The program starts at 1:15 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring a guest and admission is free.

Masiello has family roots in Shrewsbury and is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. He has received numerous awards and has been internationally recognized for his creative illustrations in magazines, newspapers and books. Ralph's many books include such popular children's books as “The Icky Bug Alphabet Book,” “The Yucky Reptile Alphabet Book,” and the highly-acclaimed “The Flag We Love,” which describes how the flag has become an enduring part of our nation's proud history and heritage.

His many instructional books were inspired by visits to over 2,400 schools worldwide which prompted him to create a variety of “How to Draw” primers.

Masiello will have copies of many of his books for sale to autograph. For more information, contact Sherry Clark at 508-842-8595.
