Shrewsbury/Northborough: Toy for Tots drives in Shrewsbury, Northborough

December 7, 2013

Shrewsbury/Northborough – Local police and fire departments will hold their annual Toys for Tots toy drives next month.

The Shrewsbury Police Department Patrolman's Local 426 is hosting the second annual “Fill the Wagon” to benefit the Toys for Tots program Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the police department headquarters, 106 Maple Ave.

New unwrapped toys will be collected and children will have the opportunity to climb in the back of the wagon to drop off toys, sit on a police motorcycle, and have a picture taken with Santa. Snacks and hot chocolate will be available.

The Northborough Fire Department, 11 Pierce St. (behind CVS), is again an official drop-off site for the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots collection program. Additional drop off sites are located at the Town Administrator's Office, Northborough Town Hall, 63 Main St., and the Northborough Public Library, 34 Main St.

New toys should be non-violent, unwrapped and in the original packaging for ages 1-16 years old. Toys can be dropped off during normal business hours at all locations through Tuesday, Dec. 17.
