Southborough: Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony

September 11, 2011

The Town of Southborough will be holding a short ceremony at the 9-11 Field on Acre Bridge Road at 4 p.m. Join the Southborough community to reflect and remember those who were lost on 9-11 and help to honor the heroism of those who dedicated their lives to protecting our country and preserving the memories of the departed. The ceremony will include patriotic music, prayer and reflection, recollections of those lost and those who protected the U.S. on that day, words of remembrance, and reflections on the dedication of the 9-11 Field. Attendees should wear flat-soled shoes (no heeled shoes will be allowed on the field). No food or beverages will be permitted. Parking is very limited and carpooling is recommended. Additionally, a shuttle service will be provided from the Marlborough Foundry, 555 Maple St. (just half a mile from Acre Bridge Road on the Marlborough/Southborough line). For more info, Neal Aspesi, Southborough Fire Department, at 1-508-922-6641 or naspesi@southboroughma.com.
