Upton: Divine Mercy Sunday

St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton, will be celebrating the Feast of Divine Mercy April 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. It will include confession, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the 3pm chaplet of Divine Mercy, the rosary, and Mass. Divine Mercy Sunday was designated by John Paul ll and is now widely celebrated by Catholics. This is the Easter gift that the Church receives from the risen Christ. To participate, one must attend Mass and receive Our Lord in Holy Communion on this day. Also sacramental confession should done on this day or several days prior. Prayers should also be offered for the Holy Father. Please mark your calendars you won’t want to miss it.
