Westborough: Author event – ‘Literal Lily’

Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tatnuck Bookseller, 18 Lyman St., Westborough, will host Kate Hanscom, author of “Literal Lily.” As Lily and Mommy embark on a shopping trip to get supplies for her first ever day of school, curly haired Lily is easily confused when she takes commonly used sayings exactly as they are spoken. Through the book’s humorous situations and beautifully illustrated scenes, both Lily and readers will not only learn the meaning of “literal” and some of today’s idioms, but will find themselves laughing along the way. All are welcome to stop in and meet the author.
