From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visit a Civil War encampment and enter the daily life of a Union soldier!  Civil War re-enactors, 13th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Company F, will drill, hold musket firing demonstrations, display uniforms and gear, cook over open fires, and teach children marching drills during a Civil War Living History Day at Westborough High School. A special 12:30 p.m. concert of Civil War-era songs features local singer/songwriter Luanne Crosby. Bring seating for the concert if desired. Dramatic readings and Civil War exhibits will be ongoing. Te event is presented by the Westborough Historical Society and Westborough Historical Commission to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. The day’s schedule includes the opening ceremony and Dress Parade at 10 a.m., an infantry drill and musket firing at 11 a.m., Luanne Crosby’s concert at 12:30 p.m., infantry drill and musket firing at 2 p.m., and the closing ceremony and honor roll at 3:30 p.m. Civil War exhibits and dramatic readings will be ongoing throughout the day. The Civil War Living History Day is free and open to all ages, and will be held rain or shine at Westborough High School on West Main Street.
