Westborough: First United Methodist Church of Westborough to hold fall rummage sale

September 20, 2013 - September 21, 2013

Westborough – The First United Methodist Church of Westborough, 120 W. Main St., will hold its semi-annual Charity Rummage Sale. This year's sale will be held Friday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Webb Hall. All proceeds from the sale go directly to outreach and mission projects through the Appalachia Service Project (ASP) and the United Methodist Women.

“The Charity Rummage Sale benefits so many people. Those who donate their gently used items can feel good that they have cleared their homes of a little clutter and contributed to a good cause,” said Jonathan Owen, chair of the First United Methodist Church ASP. “Those who come to purchase items at the sale find great bargains, and all of the money raised from the sale is used to fund the church's outreach programs. This event is a significant fundraiser for our mission work and we hope people will come out to support a worthy cause.”

The sale includes furniture, housewares, electronics, toys, sporting equipment, clothing, accessories, linen and jewelry.

For more information, contact opsmanager@firstumchurch.com or 508-366-4910. Questions about the sale or how to participate can be directed to the church office at 508-366-4910. Visit the church website at www.firstumchurch.com for directions to the church.
