Westborough: FUMC hosts ‘A Women’s Harvest Supper’« Back to Events
The First United Methodist Church of Westborough cordially invites all women to “A Women’s Harvest Supper,” to be held Nov. 1, starting at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP by Oct. 26.
Homemade soup, salad, breads, and dessert will be served, and the program that follows will be on Mindfulness for Health and Well-being, presented by Terri Philbrick, LICSW, certified yoga teacher.
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. Many of us function on auto pilot; going about our day from one activity to the next without the awareness of what we are actually experiencing. Mindfulness cultivates direct participation in each moment as it occurs with as much awareness as possible. The physical, psychological and spiritual benefits of mindfulness bring an integration of mind and body and a sense of calm and self-nurturance. The discussion will introduce you to the practice of mindfulness meditation and how to bring the practice into your everyday life.
First United Methodist Church of Westborough is located at 120 West Main St. To RSVP, email HealthFUMC@gmail.com or call 508-366-4910. Donations for the Urban Wildlife Rehabilitation Inc. will be accepted at the event.
