Westborough TV and the Westborough Public Library will be hosting a presentation on “Media Literacy Education and the Media Literacy in Schools Bill” Nov. 1, at 7 p.m., in the Forbes Municipal Building, 45 West Main St.  The seminar will be presented by Alexis Ladd and Erin McNeill of the Mass Media Literacy Consortium. The program will offer a discussion on what media literacy is, how it is taught, and how children and youth can benefit. There will also be a discussion on the statewide effort to support schools and teachers in implementing comprehensive media literacy education through legislative action, and how you can help. Attendees will leave the session with an understanding of core media literacy concepts, curriculum ideas and connections for working together to bring media literacy education to Massachusetts public schools. Handouts will be provided. All members of the community are invited to attend.
