The Masters Golf Tournament will take on new meaning in February, as Friends of the Westborough Public Library (The Friends) will host its 1st annual mini-golf fundraiser. Guests will experience the familiar ambiance of the reading rooms and stacks transformed into a massive 18-hole mini-golf course. Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., golfers of all ages will gather at the ‘Clubhouse’ on the 3rd floor of the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St., to register and obtain tee times at this fantastic fundraiser sponsored by The Friends. Upon arrival, guests will be invited to enjoy baked goods, arts and crafts, face painting, performances by local talent as well as putting lessons and photo opportunities. Also, golfers will be able to buy chances for a wide variety of raffle items. Tickets are $5 per person in advance and $7 at the door; with a $25 per family maximum. Sponsorships range from $200 to $2,500. Lunch will be available for sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, contact J. Tully at friendsowpl@gmail.com. Tickets are available at www.westboroughlib.org (click on the Library Mini-Golf link).
