Westborough: Murder, Mystery & Magic author event at Tatnuck Bookseller

June 14, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Westborough – Tatnuck Bookseller will host a two-author Murder, Mystery & Magic event Saturday, June 14, from 1 – 3 p.m. Join Gina Fava, author of The Sculptor, and Deborah Doucette, author of The Forgotten Roses, as they discuss their new books.

The Sculptor: Rome's serial killer has a way with the ladies … first he wines and dines them, then he carves and plasters them – alive. Preying on the brilliant, voluptuous grad students of Rome's universities, the Sculptor excises and molds their finest features for his personal gallery of adulation. Mara Silvestri is a saucy female grad student seeking to shed her past. When she discovers that the Sculptor is stalking her in a twisted game of cat and mouse, she becomes wary of her relationships with fellow students, art professors, her business mentor, and Jesse, a sexy lothario and mysterious colleague.

The Forgotten Roses: Rebecca Griffin has everything she ever wanted, but now her marriage is unraveling and her teenage daughter is hurtling toward calamity. While Rebecca struggles to hang onto her husband and save her daughter, she learns of the mysterious death of a young woman long ago at a local prison. As Rebecca's mother, Eva, reveals their family's connection to the girl. A search for answers takes Rebecca from her small idyllic New England town, to the congested streets of East Boston and the tight-knit Italian neighborhood her family came from.

All are welcome. Tatnuck Bookseller is located at 18 Lyman St., the Westborough Shopping Center.
