Join local filmmaker Hanan Daqqa Aug. 20, at 7 p.m., at the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St., and learn about a new way to create home movies. Through a process called Family Participatory, parents collaborate with a professional filmmaker to document a piece of their child’s life in an artistic 3-5 minute film. Three short films about three Westborough families will be screened. The story of each film was created by the parents, who will be present to talk about their experiences. In the first film, “Super Jackson,” a mother interviews the superhero inside her 4 year old son. In “A Summery Morning,” a mother documents her morning with her children, and in “Magical Owen,” parents celebrate the interest of their child in magic and music. The screening and presentation are free and open to the public.
