March 25, at 7 p.m., the Westborough Historical Society will present a program on “Scenes from Westborough’s Past.” Visit a downtown bustling with straw hat and boot factories, hotels, sleighs and crisscrossing trolleys. Enjoy a picnic at Parker’s Folly, catch a fireman’s muster, or a dance at Lake Chauncy. Through vintage photographs, local historian Phil Kittredge carries us back more than a century to view a bygone Westborough. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St., Westborough.
