Westborough: Tatnuck author event – ‘The Water Thief’

Join author Nick Soutter Oct. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Tatnuck Bookseller, 18 Lyman St., Westborough, for “The Water Thief.” Set in a dystopian world dominated by corporations, where even breathable air is for sale, “The Water Thief” is the story of professional spin-master Charles Thatcher, who discovers a woman stealing rainwater. He turns her in, creating an exaggerated report of her as a seditionist and revolutionary. Then she vanishes. Overcome with guilt, he tries to track her down, and discovers that his report might actually have been right, and she may well have been trying to revive that long dead institution called “government.” All are welcome.
