Westborough: Woman’s Club to host show of fashion throughout history« Back to Events
Westborough – The Westborough Woman’s Club is presenting a fashion show, “Fashion-atin’ Rhythm” on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Acacia at Indian Meadows, 275 Turnpike Road.
The fashion show will be a musical journey through history and fashion, featuring vintage clothing accompanied by a coordinating soundtrack. Attendees will see how fashion was influenced by history and music through the first half of the 20th century. The early 1900s, World War I and II, the Roarin’ Twenties, the Industrial Revolution, and the women’s movement all affected music and fashion. Jack Wertheimer, music historian, will be providing the musical section of the fashion show.
Attendees can shop at the boutique from 11:30-12:30 p.m., lunch will be at 12:30 p.m. and the fashion show at 2 p.m. Lunch choices include baked haddock, chicken marsala and Italian marinated beef tips. All meals include bread and butter, salad, potato, vegetable, coffee, and dessert. There will be a cash bar. The co-chairs are Jane Kruse and Alberta Milheim.
