Worcester: American Red Cross blood drive

August 7, 2012

The American Red Cross has an emergency need for blood donation as its supply is the lowest it's been in 15 years. Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a blood drive will be held at the Worcester Public Library, 3 Salem Square. Walk-in donors are most welcome, but appointments can be made by calling 800-733-2767 or visiting www.redcrossblood.org. All donors will receive a free movie ticket and a coupon good for a free carton of Friendly's Ice Cream. Call or visit the American Red Cross site for more information on donating blood.
