Worcester: “Build a Bluebird House” at BMB Wildlife Sanctuary

March 1, 2014

| $15

Worcester – Saturday, March 1, from 1:30 – 3 p.m., Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary will be sponsoring a Build? Bluebird House program for all ages (suitable for children 5 – 18 years).

Who doesn’t love bluebirds? Beautiful and fun to watch, they help gardeners by eating insects all day long. Help bluebirds by building nest boxes from pre-cut kits. The boxes are suitable for other small cavity-nesting birds such as black-capped chickadees,? tree swallows, white-breasted nuthatches. You’ll learn how to place your boxes in the right habitat, plus more about eastern bluebird conservation efforts.

Cost (per nest box) is $15 for adult members, $20 for adult non-members, and free for children. Please bring a hammer.

Registration is required. Broad Meadow Brook is located at 414 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. For more information or to register, call 508-753-6087.
