Worcester: Canal District Alliance Annual Meeting

Worcester – The Canal District Alliance Annual Meeting takes place Thursday, June 5, 6 p.m., at the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Centre, 19 Temple St., Worcester. The Annual Meeting will highlight Canal District events and initiatives over the past year, what to watch for in the year ahead, include election of board members, and a presentation from special guest Robert Radliff of the National Park Service. This important informative event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.

The featured special guest speaker is Robert Radliff, Executive Director of The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, a National Historic Area stretching across the full expanse of upstate New York. Radliff will discuss the economic benefits of a designation as a new national park. All are encouraged to attend and will be provided an opportunity to ask questions.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the canal in Worcester's sister city across the pond – Worcester, England – as well as view renderings depicting the Canal District Alliance's vision of the local Canal District after the canal re-opening.
