At 8 p.m., The Hanover Theatre, 2 Southbridge St., Worcester, will present Verdi’s immensely popular opera, La traviata, the story of an affair between star-crossed lovers, Alfredo, a commoner, and Violetta, a terminally-ill courtesan, proving that true love must triumph over all and that the highest virtue in a human being is a good heart.
