Marlborough – The December Men’s Group will meet Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 8 a.m., at the Main Street Café. Enjoy a Christmas breakfast with Mayor Vigeant. The guest speaker will be Tim Cummings, Executive Director of Marlborough Economic Development Alliance.

Westborough – SkyRise Children’s Theater will be holding an interactive Christmas show “The Elf Special,” Friday, Dec. 13 at the Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 Main St.
Children will be able to meet Santa and his elves and participate in activities including face-painting and theater games. They will also be able to make gingerbread houses and ornaments.
Shows will be held at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes with the Santa “meet and greet” and activities to follow directly afterwards. Tickets, which may be purchased at the door, are $8 per person and include all activities.

The Westborough Woman’s Club annual Holiday House Tour will be held Dec. 14. Five homes will be part of the tour this year, including a 1720 Georgian-style antique with fascinating Westborough history, a customized colonial with eclectic furniture and original art, a center entrance colonial with open floor plan, an updated cottage style colonial, and a colonial with renovations and additions.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance by calling Kathy at 508-654-3762 or at the Congregational Church hall beginning at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 14. Children under 12 are not permitted on the tour. No photography is permitted in the homes.
Refreshments will be served at the Congregational Church, 8 Church St. (corner of Church and West Main streets), from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. The homes are open from 1 – 4 p.m.
The holiday house tour has continued for over 15 years in Westborough. It is a major fundraiser for the Westborough Woman’s Club, which is celebrating its 96th- year of service to the community. Membership is open for all women age 18 and over.
The 46th Annual Westborough Ski Swap will be held Dec. 14 at the Hastings Elementary School, 111 East Main St. (Route 30), Westborough. Equipment will include new and used downhill skis, boots and clothing, skates and some cross country equipment.
Sales will begin at 9 a.m. Used equipment may ONLY be dropped off Friday evening, Dec. 13, 7 – 9 p.m. Used equipment is sold on a consignment basis.

Marlborough – Tony Watt and Southeast Expressway, a Boston-based bluegrass band, will perform Saturday, Dec. 14, at the First Congregational Church, 37 High Street, Marlborough. The show is part of The Second Saturday Marlborough Music Series, sponsored by the Coffee Loft. Joining Watt will be two new student bluegrass bands.
The show starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Dec. 14, from 12 – 2 p.m., Kate Hanscom, author of Fickle Fiona, will be at Tatnuck Bookseller, 18 Lyman St., Westborough.

Make crafts, sing songs, enjoy holiday stories, snack, play games and have your picture taken with Santa during the Shrewsbury Child Development Committee’s Holiday Gathering! A festive and fun time for families, the event will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Spring Street School, 123 Spring St., Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury Boy Scout Troop 114 will be holding a bottle and can drive Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Town Hall, 100 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury. Please donate your returnable bottles and cans. Proceeds will be used for troop activities.
