      Marlborough - Women who undergo mammograms at the Marlborough Hospital Women's Health Center are benefiting from the latest diagnostic technology available, digital mammography. Marlborough Hospital, which began off ering digital mammography the end of June is one of only 20 percent of hospitals nationwide off ering this state-of-the-art system.

Urban Aff airs Committee looks at proposed sign ordinance

      Marlborough - The Urban Affairs Committee of the Marlborough City Council will spend every week this summer trying to hone a new sign ordinance that could affect businesses throughout the city. The committee will consider the changing the existing sign ordinance along the lines of a report issued in June by the specially-organized Sign Ordinance Review Committee.

      Marlborough - David Dorsey (left), 11, of Marlborough, and his brother, Kevin, 12, try to will David's putt in to the cup on the fifth hole at St. Mark's Golf Course in Southborough during the 6th Annual Citizen's Scholarship Foundation Youth Golf Tournament held at the course June 28. School residency reform moves forward

      Marlborough - The policy subcommittee of the Marlborough School Committee took a step toward revamping the residency requirement for the city's school district when it met July 16. The subcommittee voted to amend how residents are defined, and how people attending the city's public schools will be required to prove they are residents.

Students receive U.S. flag flown in Iraq
      Marlborough - Students at the Immaculate Conception Extended Day Program in Marlborough recently sent cards that they made to LN2 Shannon Banks, a legalman in the U.S. Navy serving in Iraq and a former Marlborough resident. She is also the niece of Linda Causey, a staff member of the program.
