Organizations prepare for 'International Day of Peace'

      Region - Children and adults around the world will pause for a minute of silence Friday Sept. 21 as part of the day-long activities planned for the "International Day of Prayer and Peace." The United Nations (UN) General Assembly passed resolution 36/37 in 1981 declaring an International Day of Peace.
