You better watch out, you better not cry

Southborough - Recently, the town has been levying fines on people who venture into the transfer station on Cordaville Road without the required $100 sticker. Fines of $100 to $250 per violation have been assessed on town residents who don't have stickers with them and on out-of-towners who pick up or leave items at the station. The fines, which are decided by the Board of Selectmen, are intended to protect Southborough residents who do pay for stickers to use the facility.

Although the fines seem steep to some who receive them, violators are sent a warning letter after the first violation and are not fined unless they repeat the offense.
