Concert to benefit Music Parents Association, Players Club
      Westborough - Tom Potosnak recently completed his second CD of original material, "No Way Out But Through." Schools discourage walking to town center
      Shrewsbury - Principals at Oak and Sherwood middle schools and Middle School Resource Officer Scott Mentzer have asked parents to please discourage their children from walking to the town center on Friday afternoons, after students were reportedly seen walking in the roadways rather than on sidewalks and darting through traffic.

Seventh-graders go drag racing
      Marlborough - Students in William White's seventhgrade technology education class are learning the steps in the design process by building and racing their own CO2- powered drag racing cars. The students began the design process by creating concept sketches of their intended dragster, discussing performance and aerodynamics factors and the supplies they will use.

Ned Pratt approved as director of pupil personnel services
      Marlborough - School Committee members unanimously approved Ned Pratt as the new Marlborough director of pupil personnel services (PPS) at the committee's Oct. 9 meeting. The PPS director coordinates programs for the special education, English language learners, and gifted and talented programs.
