Police require three-year commitment from recruits

      Northborough - Police officers hired by the town and sent to one of the state academies for training will be required to sign a contract stipulating that they will remain with the town as a member of its force for at least three years.

Vacation days with the Recreation summer staff
      Northborough - The Northborough Recreation Department is off ering three days of full-day care for children in grades K-5 over the December school vacation break. The program will run Wednesday Dec. 26 through Friday Dec. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Trick-or-treaters collect $2,613
      Northborough - The Northborough Junior Woman's Club NJWC) recently announced that as a result of the town-wide Trick or Treat for UNICEF, $2,613 will be donated to UNICEF to be used for the education and prevention of transmission of HIV/AIDS from mother to child. The students from the town's four elementary schools were involved in the program.
