Algonquin girls hockey team starts season 1-1-1

      Region - After opening the season with a disappointing loss to perennial Eastern Massachusetts power Wayland High, the Algonquin Regional girls hockey team has picked up a win and a tie and will enter its Saturday Dec. 22 game with Norwood High at the Foxborough Sports Center with a 1-1-1 record.

      Marlborough - A new leader with a coaching pedigree will look to lead the Assabet Valley Regional boys basketball team to a winning season and a trip to the Central Mass. Division 2 Boys Basketball Tournament. Mike O'Brien, a facilities management teacher at the school, has been named head coach of Aztecs, replacing Dan Coffey.
