Virginia M. Chimelski, 80

Hudson - Virginia M. (Leketa) Chimelski, 80, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Joseph Chimelski; her sons, Stephen Chimelski and his wife, Kathleen, and Scott Chimelski and his wife, Dayna; her siblings, Anthony Leketa and Rita Lynch; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Stephen Jr., Joseph, Erica and Laura Chimelski; and nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Sandra Ann Chimelski, who died in 2000.

Born in Worcester, the daughter of Konstatin and Anna (Simokonis) Leketa, she attended the Millbury St. School and graduated from the David Hale Fanning Trade School as a power operator.

Mrs. Chimelski worked as a stitcher in the Worcester area and later as a salesperson for Zayres of Marlborough. She also was employed by the Hudson School Department in the cafeteria before retiring. She enjoyed bingo, sewing and crafts as hobbies.

Funeral services were held July 7 from the Tighe- Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson, with burial at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
