Weekly sports roundup:
Patriots vs. Bills, Hudson team to Nationals, Shrewsbury wins championship
By Ken Powers Contributing Writer

Northborough - Allie Dettorre, the Recreation Department director in Northborough, has come up with the idea for an overnight trip that is sure to be a touchdown for fans of one of New England's favorite sports teams.

Dettorre and her department are sponsoring an overnight bus trip Nov. 17 and 18 to see the New England Patriots play the Buff alo Bills in Buffalo, N.Y.

"We've always wanted to sponsor a trip to see a Patriots game, but it's so hard to get tickets to a game in Foxborough, and so expensive, too, that it never seemed like it was really a viable option," Dettorre said. "But when we looked into going to Buff alo, we realized that the money wasn't that much diff erent and it included staying overnight."

The bus will leave Melican Middle School at 8 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17 and travel to the Buff alo, where trip-goers will stay at the University Ramada Hotel. After breakfast Sunday Nov. 18, the bus will depart at 11 a.m. for Ralph Wilson Stadium for the 1 p.m. game between these AFC East rivals. The bus will return to Northborough immediately following the game.

Cost for the trip, which includes a ticket to the game, is $310 per person, $235 for a double and $225 for a triple. Those interested can register for the trip online at www. northboroughrecreation. com. The trip is limited to 54 people.
