Classique Medical Spa

Northborough - The Classique Medical Spa at 17 South St. in Northborough off ers a peaceful and tranquil environment for all of one's beautification needs. Classique, a state-of-the art medical spa under the direction of Dr. Cynthia Poulos, off ers clients expert medical knowledge and superb skin care.

The spa off ers women and men a customized service for elective treatment to enhance the patient's face or body image. Poulos said she believes that it is important to listen to what patients' concerns are and educate them on the best methods to achieve the desired body or face. The spa off ers the most up-to-date surgical and non-surgical procedures available.

Poulos, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, completed her general surgery residency at Saint Rachel, in New Haven, Conn., where she became chief resident. She continued her residency in plastic surgery at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. She has been in private practice since 1995 and is an associate professor of surgery at UMass Medical Center.

Many of the beautification procedures can be done in the office, but Poulos does perform in-patient procedures at both Marlborough and Milford hospitals. Cosmetic surgery includes procedures such as eyelid lift, nose enhancement, face lift and lip enhancement. For body contouring, some of the procedures offered by the office include liposuction, body lifts and abdominoplasty (a surgical procedure to remove excess fat or skin in the stomach.

"Our medical aesthetic spa is staff ed by a competent team of qualified professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of patient care and confidentiality," Poulos said.

Mary-Beth Grenier, a medical aesthetician, and Gina M. Godek, a licensed massage technician, work with Poulos to off er several other services including: laser procedures for hair and vein removal, skin care treatment such as deep cleaning and paraffin mask, beauty treatments such as waxing and permanent makeup, and massages, including hot stone therapy and deep tissue.

Grenier, who has been working with Poulos for seven years, said the spa recently expanded to the second floor to off er clients more space.

"I love working with the clientele. They are every-day people, saving up to have a procedure done," Grenier said. "We get to know our clients. There is an intimacy about sharing your insecuri- ties. We make a lot of people happy, which is rewarding."

The spa is extending its services to include professional laser lines for acne and scarring, teeth whitening and cellulite treatment.

Spa services are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment. Payments for spa treatments are due at the time of service, and patients are responsible for medical fees not covered by insurance.
