Lions install new slate of officers for 2007-2008
Marlborough - Family, friends and a few local officials gathered together to see Marlene King sworn in recently as president of the Marlboro Lions Club for the 2007-2008 term.

At the ceremony, King spoke of her goals for the coming year including increasing membership, improving awareness of the club's activities and better serving the community.

"We can make this a great year together," she told her fellow Lions.

State Rep. Stephen P. Leduc, D-Marlborough, and Peggy Ayres, representing State Sen. Pamela P. Resor, D-Acton, were on hand to extend their congratulations and well-wishes to King.

Other officers installed were Secretary Elaine Martel; Treasurer Bill Fiske; Vice Presidents Mary Scott, Barbara Boyle and Del Johannes; Lion Tamers Elaine Sakowich and Dorothy Cellucci; Tail Twister Larry Johannes; and Directors Jeff Minard, Rick Robinson and Randy Scott.
