ARHS grad's team takes first place in collegiate regatta

Northborough - Lillian Anderson of Northborough recently successfully competed in the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Penn. The Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate rowing regatta in the United States.

Anderson is the women's team captain for Philadelphia University's rowing team. She and her boat members took first place in the Women's Frosh/Novice Hvwt 8 category, beating such universities as Purdue and Villanova.

This win was particularly sweet for Philadelphia University as this was the college's first year of its rowing program. Anderson will be a senior at Philadelphia University in the fall and is a 2004 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School, where she was an active athelete in numerous sports.

She is the daughter of Gail Parker and Stephen Anderson of Northborough.
