Players' Club awards scholarships

Region - Since the early 1990s, the Westborough Players' Club has been awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning careers in the performing arts and related theatrical areas.

This year's winners of $1,000 scholarships are Ilana Saltzman, Westborough High School, who will major in theater with an emphasis on acting at Skidmore College; Ryan Sheehan, Shrewsbury High School, who will major in music education at the University of New Hampshire; Jessica Kadish, Shrewsbury High School, who will major in theater and performing at the University of Chicago; and Alexandra Hsie, who will major in stage management at Emerson College.

As the Westborough Players' Club enters it 71st season in community theater, it is proud to continue its support of the educational future of its junior members and area students bound for theater-related careers.
